Imagine Tomorrow® Computer Classes for Kids
(Ages 2-1/2 to 7)

The goal of Imagine Tomorrow's computer classes is to prepare young children with the skills  and confidence they will need to succeed in their future.  Each experience integrates sophisticated technology concepts such as E-mail, Microchips, Networks, Files, Satellites, etc. in an age-appropriate way that even our youngest students understand, enjoy, and master!  Nationally recognized by the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children)

Class Description: Classes are a totally fun and interactive learning experience developmentally designed for young learners.  Children get to become Computer Detectives and go on a learning adventure each class to solve a unique mission in the world of Imagine Tomorrow.  They build teamwork, thinking and problem solving skills, and confidence as they work cooperatively as a team to solve their mission. 

Yet individually, they each work on their own laptops.  Custom Imagine Tomorrow software, designed for each lesson, scaffolds to adjust to each child's ability level both academically and technically. So no matter what level a child comes in at, we move him or her ahead from there.  Classes are small, only 3-10 kids per two teachers, so there is a lot of personal attention as they move ahead at their own pace. 

Parents even receive a  password to log online at home to review lessons learned and download age-appropriate activities for reinforcement at home.  Children unleash creativity and imagination, enhance early reading and writing skillls and of course, learn to use the power of today's technology as a meaningful tool for their future!

Learn to Program Cool Robots LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT Robots

Next Session - TBA.  This exciting class teaches you how to program the amazing LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT robots.  You will use your new skills to meet challenges such as using sensors to navigate through terrain or battling an opponent at Robot Sumo. This class will introduce programming concepts such as repeat loops and if/then statements and the use of sensors.  This class can be taken by students with little or no experience with robotics or programming as well as students who have already taken a robotics class. * Robots are for use by students in class only. Students will not be able to take them home.

Make Your Own Animated Movie! 

Next Session - TBA.   Movie Making: Ever wanted to direct your own movies? Do you like making up stories? Do you enjoy animation? Then this class is for you. Using digital cameras, Stop Motion Pro animation software, and video editing software, you will create stop-motion animated movies with titles, credits, and sound effects. You can design your own set with backgrounds, characters, and scenery. The stories are up to your imagination!

This is a great class to take with friends. No experience is necessary and you can take this class as many times as you like. Students take home a CD with their movies at the end of the class.
